Volunteering can give you the ‘feel good factor’, boost your CV and teach you new skills. It can give you an understanding of the charity sector and working with vulnerable people. It can provide you the chance to meet new and interesting people. Most importantly, volunteering needs to be fun and enjoyable.
We’re looking for volunteers who are enthusiastic, positive, patient and respectful. But most of all, we need volunteers to be willing to support people with disabilities to understand our they can develop a healthier lifestyle, feel confident and take control of their lives. You will be developing new relationships along the way and helping to find their place in the local community. As a Unity Works volunteer, you’ll be given full support throughout your time with us.
