Service Quality Director Update

Graham Skidmore explains what he has been getting up to recently in his role as Service Quality Director for Thera East.

I am Graham Skidmore your Service Quality Director. It is my job to check with you that you are getting good quality support from Thera East. This is what I’ve been up to recently.

I recently went along to the Coffee Club where we met with some of you and did an exercise called Community Mapping. This is where we take a large piece of paper and draw on it all the things we do in our local community, we then share this with the rest of the group. This is really good fun and makes it easy for people to see other things that are happening close to them that they may not have been aware of.

I also went to the A-head Club and working alongside Sarah the Managing Director, we did our very first ‘Our Futures’ Being Heard event. Sarah introduced the company plan and why we wanted to hear from you. The first activity we gave everyone a piece of paper with a thought bubble and asked them to draw or write what their dreams and aspirations were.

The next activity was to ask everyone to think about some of the sections in our plan:

  • My Health
  • My Education and Work
  • My Relationships
  • My Hobbies and Interests

We also asked what the challenges and barriers are to make these happen. If you would like to join in talking about your dreams and ambitions, then I would love to hear them!
