Forward Housing is pleased to announce the appointment of its new Managing Director, Harry McKeown.
Harry joins with a wealth of housing and development experience, including at housing associations, supporting housing, and homelessness charities across England and Wales.
In previous roles, he has led teams of more than 300 people and has developed housing policy with local and national government. Harry has also worked on generating growth and new business for supported housing and floating support, as well as new property development.
Harry is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH), and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA).
In his new role as Managing Director, Harry will lead Forward Housing to continue its mission to support Thera Group companies to provide high-quality, sustainable, and affordable housing to people with a learning disability.
Harry said: “The welcome I’ve experienced as the new Managing Director of Forward Housing has been incredible – and unlike any I’ve had when starting a new job. It is clear to me that Thera Group is an incredibly special place to work – it already feels like home.
The induction and support I have received from the team has been brilliant and I feel like we are already making progress on many aspects of what we want and need to do.
I am very confident that by working together, we will ensure that Forward Housing continues meet (and exceed!) our expectations – and deliver the best possible housing for the people supported by Thera Group.
Forward Housing is a marvellous organisation, and I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to follow in our founding Director’s (Gareth Jackson) footsteps – and continue to support our Board in leading the charity forward into a prosperous future.
Lorna Weston, Group Lead Director – Operational Support, added: “We welcome Harry to the Thera Group and the positive impact we believe Harry will have in continuing to develop Forward Housing’s ability to provide bespoke housing solutions for people with a learning disability.
