The Kiltwalk is a fundraising event that is also a fantastic day out where people come together to walk for their favourite Scottish causes (with lots of splashes of tartan too). Both Equal Futures and Gig Buddies teams will be taking part in the Glasgow Kiltwalk which takes place on Sunday 28 April 2024!
Equal Futures is a Scottish charity in Thera Group that supports the creation of long-lasting relationships for people with a learning disability and autism and their families. They help people plan to reach their goals, build social connections, and stay safe through their circles of support model.
Gig Buddies is a Thera Trust project that is delivered in Edinburgh, West Lothian, and Glasgow and enables adults with a learning disability and autism to live an active social life. They also partner up with local organisations and venues to make events more welcoming to people with a learning disability and the neurodivergent community.
Equal Futures will be doing ‘Wee Wander’ at 10am and Gig Buddies at 11am. The Wee Wander is around a 3-mile walk, but if you want more of a challenge, you can sign up for ‘The Big Stroll’ or ‘The Mighty Stride’.
Signing up for either team is free! You’ll also get unlimited one to one fundraising support from our fundraising team and a free fundraising pack with all the information you need for online and offline fundraising.
Places tend to sell out very fast so make sure you sign up soon so you don’t miss out!
