All companies do quality assurance but not all involve people with lived experience.
The Quality Company are hosting a webinar with Learning Disability England on “Quality Checking – the Why, the How and the Way to get Things Happening”.
Michelle Mansfield, Non-Executive Chair for The Quality Company, and Helena Frewin, Service Quality Director for Thera East Midlands, will be speaking about the importance of involving people with a learning disability in monitoring support.
Virginia Fenton, Lead Director of The Quality Company, spoke about the importance of the webinar:
We need to make sure people with a learning disability are closely involved with quality assurance in all services that are used by people with a learning disability – it should be a given and not an exception. We are grateful to Learning Disability England for giving us the platform to make sure our message is heard. We hope to inspire others to see that the important thing is to make a start – even if you start small.
This webinar will provide you with useful tips and pointers to help you get started with setting up quality checker visits for your own company. It doesn’t matter if you start small – the most important thing is to make a start!
The webinar is free to attend, and takes place online on Wednesday 25 October at 10am.
