Thera’s Learning and Development team has achieved the highest award from Skills for Care and is now officially recognised as a “Centre of Excellence.” Previously, Thera was known as an endorsed provider of Skills for Care, which monitors the quality of learning and development providers within the adult social care sector.
Following their latest review, Skills for Care found Thera’s learning and development team to be “over and above what we would expect of one of our endorsed providers” and particularly praised their “work around dyslexia” and how they “engage with stakeholders.” In their congratulatory email, they reinforced how the learning and development team should be “proud of the work the organisation does.”
Angela Kelly, Group Learning and Development Manager, spoke with us about what this means for the team:
A Skills for Care endorsement is a mark of quality for learning and development delivery within the adult social care sector. We have gone through an in-depth quality assurance process where we were able to demonstrate that we deliver to a very high standard and of excellent quality.
The praise and success, Angela says, comes from the team surrounding her, and the passion they have for delivering Thera’s vision. She says:
This is a huge achievement for the team and a testament to the hard work each and every one does every day. I am lucky that I work with a team who have a strong vision and a passion to improve the lives of the people we support by delivering excellent learning opportunities to our staff.
