Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Thera East haven’t been able to celebrate their usual annual event. This year, they finally came together.
Essex Outdoors, Mersea is an outdoor adventure site on the coast and provided all of Thera East a day full of accessible activities which everyone could join in, including those with physical disabilities. Some of these activities included rock climbing, archery and even a zipline.
Whilst the sun shined on an action-packed day of activities, Thera East carried on the celebrations with an awards event celebrating the successes of both staff and the people supported. Congratulations to all nominees, runners up and winners!
To end their exciting day, they enjoyed a delicious BBQ and disco where they partied away into the evening.
Graham, Service Quality Director in Thera East, said:
I felt the day went really well and it was nice to see everyone enjoying the activities and seeing people in person again. I am so proud of all the staff and people supported in Thera East and what they have achieved.
Thera East would like to say a big thank you to everyone who attended the celebrations and to Susannah Calder from Colchester Community Support for facilitating the arts and crafts session and Charlie Blair who hosted the hip-hop dancing.
